1) It is a site that can be accessed and searched by educators, and students who are interested in careers as a geo-professional, spanning both the realms of physical and human geography. What do geo-professionals do on a day to day basis?
2) It is a site where geo-professionals in all realms and all sectors can share the story of their day for the benefit of educators and students but also for the general public.
3) It is a way to honour the memories of three geographers that had a profound influence on me:
I am sure that most (if not all) of those who are/will be contributing their Day of Geography stories have those teachers who sparked their imaginations and ignited the passion to not only pursue geography as a discipline but also as a career.
